Our Mission
At BGRA (Buffalo Grove Recreation Association), our mission is to provide every youth in Buffalo Grove—regardless of ability—a positive baseball experience. We promote good sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork while teaching strong baseball fundamentals through quality coaching. Our goal is to ensure that every player enjoys a safe, fun, and challenging environment where they can grow as athletes and individuals.

Who We Are
BGRA is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization serving the Buffalo Grove community. While we use Park District facilities, we are not part of the Buffalo Grove Park District. Instead, our program is powered by neighbors, friends, and families who share a passion for youth baseball.
Each year, more than 1,500 players take the field through BGRA, supported by over 600 dedicated volunteers—including board members, team managers, coaches, business managers, and scorekeepers. Together, they create an inclusive, community-based baseball experience for players of all ages.
The Importance of Volunteers
The success of BGRA depends on the generosity of time and effort from parents and community members. With thousands of volunteer hours spread across the league each season, every contribution—big or small—makes a difference. We encourage all parents to get involved and help make BGRA baseball the best it can be.
