House Baseball Leagues
T-Ball (Ages 5–6)
T-Ball introduces players to the game in the simplest way possible—by letting them play.
• Focus: basic fundamentals (catching, throwing, running, teamwork)
• Games: instructional, fun-first approach with no emphasis on winning or losing
• Goal: participation, energy, and early sportsmanship

Pinto (Grade 1)
The first league with overhand pitching.
• Early season: coaches pitch
• Late season: players pitch using Farm League rules
• Focus: learning fundamentals and reinforcing base rules
• No standings or postseason tournament

Farm (Grade 2)
Instructional league with player pitching throughout the season.
• Draft used to determine rosters
• Players guaranteed a minimum of 3 innings in the field (6-inning game)
• No walks; managers pitch after 4 balls
• No bunting
• Standings and playoffs included (late April–mid July season)

Stallion (Grades 3–4)
• Draft required; new players attend Ratings Night
• Players guaranteed 4 innings in the field (6-inning game)
• Bunting permitted
• Standings and playoffs included (late April–mid July season)

Thoroughbred (Grades 5–6)
The first league with 70-foot bases and a more complete baseball rule set.
• Lead-offs permitted, balk and infield fly rules apply
• Dropped third strike and stealing home allowed
• 7-inning games, with players guaranteed 4 innings in the field
• Standings, playoffs, and possibly a World Series (late April–early August season)

Palomino (Grades 7–8)
Played on fields with 80-foot bases and 54-foot pitching distance.
• Two to three games per week (late April–mid July season)
• Standings and playoffs included

Colt (Grades 9–11)
Structured similarly to high school baseball, using a 90-foot diamond and 60’6” pitching distance.
• Players guaranteed 4 innings in 7-inning games
• Two to three games per week (mid May–August season)
• Standings and playoffs included

Senior Colt (Ages 17+)
An extension of Colt with larger rosters for older players.
• Many participants are former BGRA, local high school, or college players
• Full high school baseball format with extended summer play
