Back by popular demand, we are happy to announce that registration is now open for our Winter Indoor Baseball Clinic!
These indoor baseball clinics are taught and led by our experienced high school Bearcat coaches and high school varsity players. Each session players will focus on baseball skill development including: hitting, throwing, catching, base running, speed and strength stations, and much more to keep them sharp and improve their confidence to prepare for upcoming season. The sessions conclude with fun competitive games.
Will have use of a full indoor facility at Gorilla baseball with pitching mounds and hitting tunnels, radar guns, hit-trax machine and much more. Players are put in small groups based on age and ability and get lots of individual attention throughout Coaches are available to discuss player performance and things to work on. This clinic will fill up real fast as we have limits to keep coach/player ratio low.
Sessions will be held at Gorilla Athletic Training - 958 Corporate Woods Pkwy, Vernon Hills, IL, 60061
Session Dates are 11/12, 11/16, 11/17, 11/19, 11/23, & 11/24. You register either for the full clinic for $185 or any three dates for $120. There will be two age groupings offered, 5-9 year olds and 9-13 year olds.

Our 2025 fee schedule is designed to encourage early registration, allowing BGRA to properly plan for equipment, uniforms, scheduling, league structures, and adequately staffing our leagues with managers and other volunteers. Late registration in recent years has made our pre-season planning extremely difficult, and has taken away from the kids' baseball experience.
BGRA has a new registration process this year. You will be required to select the correct registration form based on what grade your child is currently in (24-25 School Year). On the Registration landing page you will select "Register as an Individual" for the appropriate league, based on your child's grade.

On Saturday July 6th at 10AM, at the pavilion behind Jay Jones field (150 Raupp Blvd.) BGRA is hosting an informational meeting for those that would like to attend.
The meeting will be led by Nate Alvarado our Travel Director of Player Development and Russ Goldstein our Travel Director.
At the meeting we will give an overview of what to expect during the travel season, as well as answer questions about the upcoming season.
The meeting will run for a little over an hour. No need to sign up. Please just show up.

BGRA is happy to announce tryout information/signups is now available for the upcoming 2025 travel season. Detailed information can be found by visiting the Bearcat page on our website under Our Programs/Travel/Bearcats . This year there will be two tryout dates for each age group/grade. We request that you try out based on the grade your player will be in when school starts in the fall, regardless of age. Players are only required to attend one tryout. If you feel that it is in your best interest to attend both tryouts, you are free to register for both dates, but it is not required.
In order to tryout, you must signup ahead of time using our registration form which can be found on our website, and is linked below. We can not guarantee a tryout if the registration form is not completed.

BGRA is looking for Umpires for the 2024 baseball season. We are looking for both youth and patched umpires.
If your son/daughter or one of their friends is interested in being a Youth Umpire and will be at least 13 years of age by August 1st 2024, please visit the umpire section of our website for additional info. Being an umpire is a great experience for the kids, builds confidence and is a fun way to earn extra money. In order to help us plan the upcoming season please send your interest or questions as soon as possible to Brian Douros (umpires@bgrabaseball.org ). We will hold training sessions in March for all Youth Umpires to teach them everything they need to know in order to get started umpiring.
We are also looking to update our roster of patched umpires for this season. If you are a patched umpire, or are 17+ years old, and are interested in being a patched umpire for BGRA this season please contact Brian Douros (umpires@bgrabaseball.org ) as soon as possible. Based on your availability, you will have the opportunity to call games for our travel teams (Bearcats and Bruins), our older House league games (Palomino, Colt and Sr. Colt), and during our annual Memorial Day Tournament.
